La Concha Key West

Great hotel and location.. BUT ... they are undergoing major renovations that were never mentioned... you will spend half your trip waiting for the 1 working elevator... and somehow there is no stair option... so we had to wait everytime... just to get to the second floor.

La concha is a beautiful & historic hotel in the heart of beautiful Key West. The location is unbeatable & the balcony rooms, while smaller than other standard rooms, offers excellent people watching & beautiful blue sky views. A parking space is included, which is great to have right on Duval & Fleming Streets. The staff was mostly very friendly, but the service level varied. At one point in our stay, the front desk went out of their way to make us a key card to use the microwave located in the conference room. When I asked to use it the next day, another staff member says there wasn't one in the building. I went & took a photo through the window to show him. He then said he could not grant me access as the desk had previously done. No biggie but a little frustrating. Our main issue with the hotel was HIDDEN FEES. Upon arrival, we were told we would be charged a fee of over $80 per room as a "destination fee," which was never explicitly disclosed & was certainly not fairly advertised. I asked about waiving this fee & the night desk said it was possible to check & see with day manager. The next day, they insisted the fee could not be waived & were unwilling to help with it further. I let them know I booked through a 3rd party prepaid, it said fees & taxes were included. They said read the fine print. They charged my card for the fees. Not being forthcoming and clear about the destination fee was the issue I had. And having parts of the hotel amenities, including outdoor areas, being closed off during the stay make this resort/destination fee more of a slap in the face. To highlight this point, the staff at this "destination" hotel warned us that if we see some stuff a little run down or not in operation, its because the hotel just got bought & things wouldn't get straightened out until the new company takes over. Also minor issues for such a pricey hotel included missing slats on the inner balcony door & similar minor cosmetic issues. Other than that it is a beautiful building & top-notch location. Overall the experience was very enjoyable. P.S. The awesome bar tender makes delicious key lime martinis!

Melhor custo X benefício dos últimos tempos. Pensem num lugar agradável, limpo e no point de Key West. Valeu cada centavo. Só usamos carro pra ir numa praia mais distante, mas, fora isso, impossível usar o carro. Silencioso, cama deliciosa, totalmente reformado. Eles dão cortesias de bebidas e voucher de 30 dólares diários pra usar com comida e bebida. Surpreenderam a todo momento. Reservem de olhos fechados. Atenção: Estacionamento custa 35 dólares por noite. Mas se for pra hotel mais distante, vai gastar mais que isso pra ir e voltar de Uber, além de não ter a comodidade de estar na energia da ilha. Fui com esposa e filho, ou seja, não fui atrás de muvuca nem bagunça. Foi top!

浴室的百葉窗有點老舊，咖啡機放置的位置沒有插座，得移到有插座的地方，停車場位子很多，但是需要另外收費，早餐菜色選擇眾多，口味不錯。

地理位置非常方便，在老街主要街道。酒店有一點點老舊，隔音不夠好。前台服務態度好，交流容易。酒店有停車場，位子足夠。

The place was under major renovations which would be understandable if they had let us know before we booked. We could have made other arrangements. Checkin was horrendous took forever waiting in line u could tell the staff was stressed out no water on the first night of our stay. No warning till checkin. Elevator hall was moldy some stairs were not available. The checkin drink coupons they give u to redeem for 30.00 are a joke. Three drinks with the coupon for 30.00 still left a 17.00 balance after all fees and included service charge. So we ended up throwing the second days coupons away because we may as well go pay any price for a drink anywhere else. Overall just not very impressed for a historic hotel that could have been great and they should have been reflecting price with conditions before checkin we would have def stayed somewhere else

THERE WAS NO WATER DUE TO CONSTRUCTION FROM 10PM TIL 5AM. PAYING 300 A NIGHT FOR A ROOM, ID LIKE TO BE ABLE TO FLUSH THE TOILET

The property is going thru an construction upgrade, when making reservations this should be information that definitely should be noted or relayed to the requesting guest. My room had no view and was right above the construction area, I'm on vacation and expecting to rest and all I hear early mornings is work crews. Not the best way to enjoy a vacation

When we arrived to the room the toilet seat was only attached on 1 side so it swung freely from side to side. With this in mind was it cleaned for the previous guest or the cleaning staff too lazy to inform maintenance. Closet door would not stay closed and the closet light was activated by an automatic switch when you open the door so… light was on 24 hours a day. Heat would not work. It was 62 degrees in our room and the heat only made it colder. Room was recently renovated (shower was really nice) but still had masking tape on the ceiling light in bathroom. Not sure who inspected this room after renovations but they didn’t pay much attention. They do have complimentary bikes and the bell man was very nice. He made up for the mean female bartender.
